As known by all, Microsoft will upgrade the Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 with new features and functionality and a first preview build of the new OS will be available later this month (June 26). I think the return of the Start button as well as what its function will be the most important thing that many users looking for in this new update. Below video shows how the new Start button works in Windows 8.1.

From this video, you might have learned that the new Start button lets you simply switch between the Desktop and Start screen. It won’t feature a full start menu with access to programs and shortcuts.

For your information, the preview build of Microsoft’s new operating system Windows 8.1 will be available later this month (June 26) and it will be available later this year as a free update for existing Windows 8 customers
