Sony Xperia T has received the first official CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly build, which will update the device to Android Nougat. The CM14.1 build brings Android 7.1 and a number of new features to Xperia T (code named mint). Once installed, you can delve into the new features, various customization options of CyanogenMod 14.1 and experience the all-new Nougat.

The Android Nougat based CyanogenMod 14.1 custom ROM features night mode, bundled notification, Doze on the move (battery optimization feature), multi-window mode and includes performance tweaks, latest security patches and several value-added features.

Before you get start installing CM14.1 ROM on your Xperia T, keep in mind that the present status of the ROM is a Nightly, which means it is unstable and some features may not work, as it would be. So, do not install the nightly build on a regularly using phone.

As the installation process wipes your device completely, backup any important data you have on the phone before proceeding with. Also, create Nandroid backup (recommended) in custom recovery to restore your current ROM.

Unlocked bootloader, root access and latest version of TWRP recovery are the prerequisites for installing CyanogenMod 14.1 on Xperia T
