Google has updated beta version of Chrome for Android with a handful of new features and most importantly, the browser is now available in 31 more languages and in all countries where Google Play is available. This new-update lets you place bookmarks as shortcuts on your home screen, allow proxy setup for Wi-Fi access, view desktop version of a website if you would prefer to view so, and more.

Chrome for Android brings desktop Chrome’s some of the best features such as search and navigate directly from the omnibox, incognito mode (private browsing mode), tabbed interface, fast with accelerated page loading, etc to Android phone and tablets.

  1. You can now request the desktop version of a website, in case you would rather not view the mobile version.
  2. You can now add bookmarks as shortcuts on your home screen, so you can get to your favorite sites faster.
  3. Choose your favorite apps to handle links opened in Chrome.
  4. Have a proxy setup for Wi-Fi access? You can now use Chrome with the system proxy configured in Android settings.
