Task switching is one of the cool features of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean), which brings a scrollable list of thumbnails of currently running or recently launched apps along with the ability to switch between apps or close them by swiping. Gingerbread or below users can now bring the same feature on their phone with a free app called ICS Task Manager/Switcher.

The ICS Task Manager/Switcher works on any Android version (Android 2 and up) and has the same look of ICS and JB Task switcher. A biggest advantage of this app on Android is that you can easily switch between tasks and kill unwanted apps with a touch.

The ICS Task Manager/Switcher has also a paid version with more features; the free version has the following features.

– ICS/JB task manger look-like User Interface
– Swipe to kill app
– Click to switch to app
– ScreenShot for apps (rooted only)
– Kill all Widget

Note that, the app is not optimized for tablets. In addition, the thumbnails are distorted in my device, so it seems to be unpleasant.

You can download ICS Task Manager/Switcher at Play Store for free (Via)
