There are plenty of word processors available on Play Store for your Android phone for creating and editing documents on the go. However, if you are working with Microsoft Office on your PC, its flexibility of features and familiarity thrust you to use it on your Android device as well.

Here is how to edit Microsoft Office files (documents, spreadsheets and presentations) on your Android tablet or smartphone with full MS Office functionality for free.

To work with MS Office file on your Android device, you need to install CloudOn – a free app from Google Play. After installing the app, run it and tap create an account option. Then, select a storage account you have, for instance, SkyDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or Box.

After sign in, just tap the storage account to view your files stored. A list of documents in your storage account is listed along with its file types. Tap on the file you want to open it. You will see your familiar word processing layout.

Now, when you tap anywhere within the text, the keyboard will appear. You can make changes to your documents that will then be saved to your cloud storage service.
