Samsung releases Android 9 Pie (One UI) update for Galaxy A6+ that installs March 2019 security patches and new features on the phone. It is currently available in Poland for model number SM-A605FN and the wider roll out is expect soon. Other Galaxy A6+ variants (SM-A605F, SM-A605G, and SM-A605GN) may also get the One UI update soon.

Android 9 Pie (One UI) over the air update for Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018) is available via over the air. This firmware is now available for download and has version number PDA- A605FNXXU3BSC6 and CSC – A605FNOXM3BSC6. If you want to upgrade right now, then here is how to download and install the update right now. One UI update is already available for other Galaxy A series devices as well, such as Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8+ and Galaxy A9.

Galaxy A6+ Android Pie firmware is already available at SamMobile. You can also use SamFirm tool to download the firmware. Check you pone’s CSC by dialing the code *#1234#, (Here it is BSC6). If it is different, then wait for wider roll out of the firmware.

How to Install One UI update on Galaxy A6+

1. First, download One UI update file for your region from this link (or use Samfirm tool).

2. Download Odin v3.13.1 from this link to your Windows PC and unzip it.

3. Unzip the downloaded firmware zip file to your PC. You should get the following 5 files:

– AP (System & Recovery)
– BL (Bootloader)
– CP (Modem / Radio)
– CSC_ (Country / Region / Operator) [Use this file if you want to do a clean flash]
– HOME_CSC_ (Country / Region / Operator) [Use this file if you want to keep your apps and data]

4. Run Odin.exe file on your Windows PC, add 4 files mentioned above in the respective fields.

5. Now, boot your phone into DOWNLOAD mode. To do so, switch off the phone, and reboot by Volume Down, Volume Up and Power buttons together.

6. Connect the phone to PC via original USB cable. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin COM port.

7. In Odin, click “Option” tab and make sure F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot boxes are ticked. Do not tick any other boxes.

8. Click the “Start” button and wait until you see a green Pass message in Odin. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot, and you can disconnect your phone from the PC.
