Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Force have been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo recently. One of the many changes Motorola introduced in this update is ‘Dark Theme’ option, which you can enable in the Moto Launcher Settings. This eye candy feature can be useful, especially when you use your phone in a low light environment. If you do not know how to enable dark theme on your Moto X4 or Moto Z2 Force, read on to know how it is.

The new Dark Theme option basically turns some of the icons and menu background from white to black on these devices. Though it doesn’t fully turn the whole aspects of the phone into dark, still it can be useful. If your Moto X4 or Moto Z2 Force updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, then here is how to enable dark theme on it.

How to enable dark theme on Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Force

1. Open your phone and go to Moto Launcher Settings (tap and hold on the home screen to get the Settings option)

2. In the Settings menu, locate the ‘Dark theme’ option.

3. Toggle the switch to ON, which will turn the white backgrounds to dark.

Note: The above works with default launcher only. If you have installed any other launcher and set it as default, set Moto Launcher to default.
