Google Camera app, which is now available on Play Store, supports only Android 4.4 KitKat devices. But unfortunately, there are lot of devices which haven’t received official KitKat update yet, so cannot enjoy Google Camera app’s features such as Photo Sphere, Panorama mode, Lens Blur mode for taking SLR-like photos, etc. on such devices.

However, here is a good news. An XDA member, unclefab has ported Google Camera app to run on Android Jelly Bean devices. According to him, the modded app works successfully on his Samsung Galaxy Mega I9200 running on stock Jelly Bean firmware.

It is reported that the ported Google Camera app works successfully on stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build only. It may not works well on 4.1 and 4.2 Jelly Bean builds. Also, many users have reported “Force close” error while trying to run the app on their Jelly Bean devices.

If you are interested, you can try Google Camera app on your Jelly Bean device. Download the latest apk from here and install it just like any other apk file.
