Microsoft Launches Web Version of the Popular Game Cut the Rope

Cut the Rope, the most popular physics-based fun game for iPhone and Android, is now available for big screens as well as big audience. The creator of the game ZeptoLab partnered with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team has launched a web version (HTML5 version) of this game that you can play on your web browser.

The HTML5 version of this game, which is ported from the original iOS source code, highlights some of the best that HTML5 has to offer such as canvas-rendered graphics, browser-based audio and video, CSS3 styling and the personality of WOFF fonts.

Microsoft launched this project as an initiative to promote Internet Explorer 9 that, as you know, supports all new web technologies. Cut the Rope runs in any browser that supports HTML 5 including Internet Explorer 9. You can read more on this subject at here.

Rovio just released Angry Birds Rio, a new story of its popular game and can be downloaded free at Android market. Based on the comedy-adventure animated film Rio, this new game has two fantastic episodes with 60 exciting levels!

As part of the promotion of the next Winter Olympics (Winter Olympics 2014, which will be held at the Russian city of Sochi on February 7, 2014), they’ve produced a smart skiing game that can be played on YouTube.
When you first enter this YouTube page you’ll see a video showing examples, but then it flips round to give you a skiing game that you can play with your webcam or keyboard keys.

Rovio to Create Angry Birds Rio

Are you an Angry Birds fan? Then here is a pleasant news for you. Its developer Rovio has announced that they are creating a new version of the game based on the upcoming animated feature film “Rio”. Rio by 20th Century Fox is a comedy-adventure movie which will be released in April.

“In Angry Birds Rio, the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio, where they eventually escape their captors and set out to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – two rare macaws and the stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio”.

The new game has 45 levels and new levels will be added regularly by update. The game is available for smart phones and tablets worldwide in March 2011.
